Patel Retail Limited is a retail and food processing company established in 2008 and based in Maharashtra. Founded in 1990 by Dhanji Patel, it started as a small grocery store and has expanded into a chain of more than 40 supermarkets under the brand name Patel R Mart, mostly in tier-III cities and suburbs of Maharashtra and Gujarat. The company is also heavily involved in food processing and export and is a 4-star export house as certified by the Government of India. It was originally established to cater to the needs of the local communities through a customer-oriented neighborhood supermarket concept.

Patel Retail IPO has several manufacturing and processing units, such as a food processing unit in Dudhai, Kutch (Gujarat) and a quality check and packaging unit at Ambarnath, Maharashtra. The Dudhai plant includes the processing of agricultural products such as cumin, coriander & peanuts and has cold storage and warehouses with a 15.9-acre cluster. The company has an owned fleet of 18 trucks and third-party delivery partners, which ensure efficient distribution.
