MSE appoints Market Makers, launches liquidity measures from April 1
MSE appoints Market Makers for its equity segment, plans liquidity enhancement from April 2026 to boost price discovery, stability and trading activity under SEBI recognition
By CNBC-TV18
The Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India (MSE) has completed the appointment of Market Makers for its equity segment. The exchange said the move is aimed at supporting price discovery and improving trading activity.
Starting April 1, 2026, MSE has begun implementing liquidity enhancement measures in its equity segment. These steps are intended to encourage wider market participation and increase overall trading activity.
Market Makers provide continuous buy and sell quotes for selected securities, which can help improve market depth and maintain stable pricing. The new liquidity measures are expected to complement these efforts by facilitating smoother trading.
MSE operates under recognition from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and offers trading across equity, equity derivatives, currency derivatives, and debt segments.
