It is a type of “closed-ended” collective investment vehicle structured as a public limited company. An investment trust pools money from investors to invest in a diversified portfolio of assets like stocks, bonds, or property. Unlike mutual funds, investment trusts have a fixed number of shares, meaning they do not issue or redeem shares daily based on investor demand.
Citius Transnet InvIT IPO: Allocation to anchor investors
The trust has raised Rs 497.2 crore from anchor investors on April 16, ahead of IPO bidding. It allocated 4,97,24,850 Units at Rs 100 per Unit to anchor investors.
Prazim Trading, ASKWA Income Opportunities Fund, pension & provident funds, namely, HDFC Pension, SBI Pension, ICICI Prudential Pension, DSP Pension and Larsen & Toubro Provident Fund showed interest in the offering.
WhiteOak, DSP, Quant, and Axis mutual funds were the Mutual Funds participated in it. Apart from them, insurance investors such as Bajaj Life, Axis Max Life, Bharti AXA, and IndusInd General participated in anchor allocation.
Citius Transnet InvIT IPO: Allotment and listing
The allotment for the InvIT is expected to be finalised on April 24, while the listing on the NSE and the BSE is likely to be on April 29, as per the tentative schedule.

The trust is an infrastructure investment trust focused on the transport sector in India. It was established to acquire, manage and invest in a portfolio of transport infrastructure assets, including roads, in India.
The portfolio covers a total of 3,406.71 lane-kilometres across nine states in India. This includes seven toll projects covering over 3,043.22 lane-kilometres and three annuity projects covering over 363.49 lane-kilometres.
Its Sponsor is Epic TransNet Infrastructure Private Limited (formerly Watrak Infrastructure Private Limited). The Sponsor is fully owned by funds under Infrastructure Yield Trust—namely, Infrastructure Yield Plus II, Infrastructure Yield Plus IIA, and India Infrastructure Yield Plus II. These funds are managed by EAAA India Alternatives Limited (“EAAA”).
