Telangana Observes 'Telangana Social Justice Day'

The Telangana government marked the first anniversary of the Legislative Assembly's passage of resolutions approving the caste census and SC sub-classification reports on February 4.

This day commemorates the government's commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusive development through annual official ceremonies, awareness programmes, lectures, and cultural events.

Election Pledges and Initiatives

• The Congress-led administration had pledged a caste census and SC sub-categorisation during the 2023 Assembly elections.
• In November-December 2024, the government conducted the caste census and appointed a one-man judicial commission for the SC sub-classification report.

Receiving and Approving Reports

• The government received the caste census report on February 2, 2025.
• The SC sub-categorisation report was received on February 3, 2025.

Chief Minister's Special Assembly Session

On February 4, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy convened a special Assembly session, tabled the resolutions, and secured approval for them.
