Purple Style Labs, the parent company of Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop, plans to focus on cost management and optimisation of its operating structure to drive growth and profit.
Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop (PPUS) is one of the largest and fastest growing multi-brand luxury omni-channel fashion platforms in India in terms of revenue in FY’24, serving customers in India and abroad.
Abhishek Bansal-promoted PSLL has undertaken targeted initiatives to streamline expenses, with a particular emphasis on efficient sales and marketing spends.
PSLL has received SEBI approval in January to launch its IPO. It plans to raise fresh capital of ₹660 crore for investment in its wholly-owned subsidiary, PSL Retail for expenditure towards lease liabilities of Experience Centers, and back-end offices in India, funding towards sales and marketing expenses and general corporate purposes.
The company leverages curated events at Experience Centres and select venues to engage a highly targeted luxury consumer base and driving higher conversion.
Planned investments include targeted digital campaigns, social media advertising, influencer collaborations, end-of-season promotions, and advertisements.
The company has delivered about 100 times returns from the seed capital stage, even before the IPO price or valuation discovery.
Volrado (Enam Holdings) is the largest institutional shareholder, followed by Akash Bhansali and Singularity AMC (Madhu Kela), alongside investors such as SageOne, Alchemy and Value Quest.
The cap table also includes prominent family offices and private investors such as Binny Bansal, Navroz Udwadia, Neelesh Bhatnagar, Utpal Sheth, Sid Yog, Pidilite family offices, Harish Shah, Rahul Kayan and Mukul Agarwal, among others.
The company is additionally backed by publicly disclosed celebrity investors, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, Madhuri Dixit and Mahesh Babu, enhancing brand visibility and consumer recall.
Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop’s revenue grew 11 times from ₹45 crore in FY’20 to ₹508 crore in FY’24, translating into a CAGR for 83 per cent.
