March-quarter shareholding data is starting to roll in, and early trends reveal a clear shift in foreign institutional investor (FII) strategy. Out of around 274 companies that have disclosed their holdings so far, FIIs have increased their exposure to nearly 105 small-cap stocks in Q4 FY26 (vs. December 2025), signaling growing confidence in select pockets of the market.
Interestingly, this comes against a backdrop of broadly weak stock performance in CY26, where most names have delivered negative returns. However, a handful of stocks have bucked the trend. We spotlight eight standout companies where rising FII interest coincided with strong momentum, each delivering impressive gains of 20% to 70% in just over three months. (Data Source: ACE Equity)
