Equity Mutual Funds Suffer Large Outflows in January

An alarming trend in the Indian mutual fund market has been observed for the month of January, with a total of 554 out of 716 equity funds recording outflows. This is according to the latest data released by ACE MF.

Top Funds Recording Large Outflows

Nippon India Small Cap Fund: Rs 2,474 crore outflow, total AUM stands at Rs 65,812 crore in January from Rs 68,287 crore in December.
Motilal Oswal Midcap Fund: Rs 2,448 crore outflow, total AUM declined to Rs 34,432 crore in January from Rs 36,880 crore in December.
Quant Small Cap Fund: Rs 2,400 crore outflow, total AUM brought down to Rs 27,384 crore in January from Rs 29,784 crore in December.
ICICI Pru Large Cap Fund: Rs 1,856 crore outflow, total AUM stood at Rs 76,645 crore in January from Rs 78,501 crore in December.
SBI Small Cap Fund: Rs 1,819 crore outflow, total AUM recorded.
SBI Equity Hybrid Fund: Rs 1,605 crore outflow, total AUM recorded.
Kotak Midcap Fund: Rs 1,595 crore outflow, total AUM stood at Rs 59,041 crore in January compared to Rs 60,636 crore in December.
