8 equity mutual funds multiply lumpsum investments by over 2.72x in 5 years. Are they a part of your portfolio?

Around eight equity mutual funds have multiplied lumpsum investments by more than 2.72 times over the last five years, an analysis by ETMutualFunds showed. A total of 207 funds were considered during the period.

Of these eight funds, four were smallcap funds, three were midcaps, and one was a multicap. Three funds were from Nippon India Mutual Fund, while the others were from Quant Mutual Fund, Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund, Bandhan Mutual Fund, Invesco Mutual Fund, and HDFC Mutual Fund.

Motilal Oswal Midcap Fund multiplied a lumpsum investment of Rs 1 lakh by 2.96 times over the last five years, delivering a CAGR of 24.27%. An investment of Rs 1 lakh made in this fund on April 22, 2021, would now be worth Rs 2.96 lakh.
