Company Background

The business originated as Vivekanand Cotspin LLP, receiving its fresh certificate of incorporation on July 21, 2015, in Gujarat. Then, on August 5, 2024, It was converted into a private limited company, named ‘Vivekanand Cotspin Pvt. Ltd.’

Vivekanand Cotspin IPO Review

Vivekanand Cotspin Ltd. operates across cotton ginning, spinning and related trading activities, giving it exposure to different stages of the cotton value chain. Its manufacturing infrastructure includes ginning and ring-spinning operations, while its group relationships provide access to export infrastructure and downstream processing of cotton seed.

The financial profile shows moderate revenue growth over FY24–FY26, but profitability has remained relatively low in relation to revenue. Revenue increased by 41% in FY26, while PAT declined from ₹4.07 crore to ₹3.69 crore, showing a 9% dropping in the PAT between FY25-26.

However, in FY26, sales to Ambica Cotseeds Limited and Vivekanand Industries represented 3.21% and 3.28% of revenue from operations respectively. Also, the company states that related-party transactions and common suppliers and customers pose risks and can create potential conflicts or affect operations if these arrangements change. Working-capital intensity is another important consideration, as the company reported net working capital of ₹35.42 crore at FY26, while its projected requirement rises to ₹59.69 crore in FY27 and ₹69.75 crore in FY28. Notably, the top 10 suppliers accounted for 50.61% of purchases and direct costs in FY26.

Overall, the IPO shows a growing and profitable position of Vivekanand Cotspin in the market but still investors seeking Vivekanand Cotspin IPO need to be aware of the company’s future projects and operational strategies; also its relations with its competitors in the market to make a better decision.

Conclusion

Vivekanand Cotspin IPO is a chance to invest in a growing company that is engaged in the cotton ginning, cotton yarn manufacturing and related trading, supported by export-linked group infrastructure. Some factors to monitor include resulting valuation, cotton raw-material prices, customer and supplier concentration, export exposure and dependence on related-party arrangements. The company aims to utilise the IPO proceeds for the installation of required plant and machinery, working capital requirements and for its daily operational expenses.
