NSE and UP Government Team Up to Help Small Businesses Raise Money via IPOs

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has signed an agreement with the Uttar Pradesh government to help MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) learn how to raise money by launching IPOs (Initial Public Offerings).

This will be done through the NSE Emerge platform — a special platform that helps small companies list on the stock exchange and raise funds.

What Will They Do?

Hold seminars, roadshows, and workshops to teach MSMEs about IPOs.
Guide businesses step by step through the process of getting listed.
Explain the benefits of raising money from the public through NSE Emerge.

Why Is This Important?

Small businesses often need money to grow. This partnership gives them a new way to raise funds, improve their brand visibility, and build trust with investors.

So far, over 612 companies have used NSE Emerge to raise more than ₹17,000 crore. These companies are now worth over ₹1.76 lakh crore in total.
