The bank said it had not recognised any impact from the Supreme Court’s ruling on its Additional Tier 1 bonds worth ₹8,415 crore in its Q2 FY27 results, as it is still assessing the implications. The Supreme Court, in its October 15 judgment, upheld the Bombay High Court ruling relating to the write-down of the bank’s AT-1 bonds and dismissed the appeals filed in the matter.

Yes Bank said it was examining the judgment and would determine its implications before deciding on the next steps. The ruling had triggered a sharp sell-off in the bank’s shares, with the stock falling 14.5% on Thursday and another 3.4% on Friday to close at ₹17.50.
Sources had told CNBC-TV18 exclusively that the lender could recognize the potential ₹5,300 crore to ₹5,400 crore earnings hit during the ongoing quarter itself, or push it to the December quarter, but not later than that.
