Welspun Enterprises said its material subsidiary Welspun Michigan Engineers has secured two sewer rehabilitation projects worth a combined ₹351.24 crore from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation . The company received the Letters of Award dated September 18, 2026, for the projects, which are funded by the World Bank.
The contract value includes GST and excludes provisional sums, the exchange filing stated. The first project, valued at ₹229.48 crore, involves the rehabilitation of an existing main trunk sewer line in Western Ahmedabad, covering the stretch from Iskcon Char Rasta to the 285 MLD Tertiary Sewage Pumping Station .
The second project, worth ₹121.76 crore, covers the rehabilitation of existing sewer lines across key stretches of Eastern Ahmedabad, including Odhav 310 to Panjrapole Char Rasta to Nirant Cross Road to Mahadev Imperial, as well as Metro Pillar No. 99 to Nirant Char Rasta.
Welspun Enterprises said the two projects are among the largest individual sewer rehabilitation projects currently being undertaken by the AMC. The ₹229.48-crore Western Ahmedabad project is also one of the largest rehabilitation orders secured by WMEL through its standalone bidding capacity, the company said.
Following the order wins, WMEL’s order book as of June 2026 has increased from around ₹2,135 crore to approximately ₹2,432.66 crore. The company said this represents an addition of around ₹297.66 crore, excluding GST and provisional sums. Sandeep Garg, Managing Director of Welspun Enterprises, said the orders mark a significant milestone for WMEL’s growth in the rehabilitation segment and reinforce its capabilities in addressing complex urban infrastructure requirements.
He added that the wins are aligned with the company’s focus on selectively expanding in specialised segments where engineering expertise is a key differentiator. The formal communication of the work orders was made available to WMEL after 11 am on September 19, 2026, according to the company’s exchange filing.
Shares of Welspun Enterprises ended 5.7% higher at ₹823.35 on the NSE on Friday, September 18. The stock has gained 42.4% over the past month and 59.4% so far this year.
