Instamart has partnered with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to launch on-demand LPG cylinder delivery, becoming the first quick commerce platform in India to offer the service.

The service will initially be available in Bengaluru, where consumers can order HPCL's newly launched HP Navya 10 kg composite LPG cylinder through the Instamart app. The platform will also offer HPCL's 5 kg metal LPG cylinder.

According to the companies, customers do not need an existing domestic LPG connection to purchase the cylinders, and the service is accessible to students, working professionals and smaller households.

Under the model, first-time purchases will be treated as new cylinder purchases. Subsequent refill orders can be placed by returning the empty cylinder at the time of delivery.

Orders will be fulfilled through HPCL's authorised distributor network and delivered by trained personnel following safety and regulatory requirements. First-time customers will also need to complete identity verification as part of the ordering process.

Founded in 2020, Instamart operates in more than 130 cities and offers over 50,000 products across categories. For HPCL, the partnership adds a new distribution channel for LPG products and expands the reach of its recently launched HP Navya composite cylinder.
