Stocks to watch today: The Indian stock market is expected to see mild pressure in Tuesday's trade after the US unveiled fresh sanctions against Iran and amid weakness in Asian peers. GIFT Nifty futures traded 57 points or 0.24 per cent lower at 24,154 as of 7.55 AM.
Selling in tech stocks ahead of Nvidia's earnings on Wednesday pulled most Asian markets lower. Japan's Nikkei shed 0.06 per cent, South Korea's Kospi was lower by 1.84 per cent, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 bucked the trend and gained 0.57 per cent.
In the overnight trade, US stocks closed lower. The S&P 500 and Dow Jones ended 0.3 per cent lower each and Nasdaq declined 0.76 per cent. In the commodity market, oil prices steadied after a 2 per cent fall in the last session as investors assessed the impact of harsher US secondary sanctions against Iran.

L&T: L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore (LTEH Onshore) signed an over ₹15,000 crore contract for undertaking a gas compression facilities project for a West Asia company against a letter of award issued in 2025-26. Lenskart: SoftBank Group again trimmed its holding in Lenskart Solutions, selling nearly a 2.6 per cent stake in the eyewear retailer for Rs 2,888 crore through open market transactions on Monday.
Fino Payments Bank: Fino Payments Bank's board has approved the extension of tenure of Ketan Merchant as interim CEO for a period of three months effective from August 27, 2026. PFC: Power Finance Corporation (PFC) withdrew its planned three-year bond issuance as bids came in at yields higher than the company had expected, while it accepted ₹2,500 crore through a 15-year bond at a cut-off coupon of 7.55 per cent.
Axis Bank: Markets regulator Sebi has dropped proceedings against Max Financial Services, Max Life Insurance, Axis Bank, Axis Capital, Axis Securities and seven individuals in the matter related to the Max-Axis Life Insurance deal. Ceigall India: Ceigall India Limited has received Letters of Acceptance (LOA) from the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) for the construction of a key section of the Lada-Sarli section of NH913 (Frontier Highway) in Arunachal Pradesh, at a contract value of ₹704.70 crore.
