Shares of solar Industries jumped over 8% to hit a fresh lifetime high on Thursday, after the company reported a whopping 93% year-on-year jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 652.55 crore for the first quarter of FY27, from Rs 339 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

The firm’s revenue from operations meanwhile surged over 70% YoY to Rs 3,668 crore during the April-June quarter of the ongoing financial year 2027, from Rs 2,154 crore reported in the same period of FY26. The company's shares surged to Rs 20,240 apiece after the results were released.

Solar Industries reported an 82% YoY surge in EBITDA to Rs 1,024 crore during the first quarter. The company noted that its defence business continued to be a key growth driver, registering a 123% YoY growth during the quarter. Its international explosives business grew by 65% YoY, while the domestic explosives business increased by 52% YoY.

The defence company said its strong order book of Rs 21,350 crore is supporting future growth, as it set an ambitious revenue guidance of Rs 14,000 crore for FY27. “We are pleased to report a record performance in the first quarter of FY2026-27, achieving our highest-ever quarterly revenue, EBITDA, PBT and PAT,” said Manish Nuwal , Managing Director & CEO of the company.

He added that the strong performance is a testament to the unwavering trust of customers and the disciplined execution of strategic vision. “Our vision of establishing Solar as a trusted defence partner, both in India and globally, is beginning to translate into tangible results…We remain confident of securing sizable new orders in the coming quarters and support the long-term growth trajectory of our defence business. Our continued focus on innovation and disciplined execution enables us to gain a meaningful share of the growing defence market,” he further said.

Having already deployed around Rs 450 crore during the first quarter, Solar Industries is progressing well on its planned capital investment of Rs 2,050 crore, said Manish Nuwal. “We believe the combination of a strong order book, expanding market opportunities and continued strategic investments positions Solar Group exceptionally well to drive multi-year growth, scale our global footprint and set new operational benchmarks,” he concluded.

Solar Industries shares rallied over 8% on Thursday, gaining more than 8% in a week and 10% in a month. The stock is overall up 65% in 2026 so far.

The shares of the defence company gained over 33% in a year. In the longer term, the stock delivered stellar returns of 393% in three years and 1,040% in five years. The company has a market capitalisation of nearly Rs 1.81 lakh crore.
