Navratna PSU under the Railway Ministry, Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd, on Saturday said it has received a ₹404.88 crore Letter of Acceptance from East Coast Railway for the execution of works related to a third railway line between Nergundi-Barang and Khurda Road-Vizianagaram.
The contract, valued at ₹404.88 crore including Goods and Services Tax , covers work on the 385-km Bhadrak-Vizianagaram section, comprising 22 km between Nergundi-Barang and 363 km between Khurda Road and Vizianagaram. The Letter of Acceptance, issued on September 18, 2026, covers execution of roadbed, minor bridges, major bridges, road under bridges and limited height subways, building works, ballast supply, permanent way linking and other allied works.
The project is to be executed within 912 days. The order has been awarded by a domestic entity and is in the normal course of RVNL’s business. RVNL said the contract is governed by general contract conditions. The company said the promoter, promoter group and group companies have no interest in East Coast Railway.
The contract also does not fall under related party transactions.
