Shares of the recently-listed OnEMI Technology Solutions Ltd. are in focus on Friday, September 18, after the company's board of directors approved the proposal to raise up to ₹832.19 crore via preferential issue of equity shares. The company, in an exchange filing on Thursday, said its board of directors has approved the proposal for the issue of up to 2.64 crore equity shares of face value ₹1 at an issue price of ₹314.11 per share, amounting to ₹832.19 crore.
The issue price is significantly higher than its IPO price of ₹171 per share. The fund raise approval is for the proposed 34 non-promoter investors on a preferential basis. The same was subject to the approval of shareholders of the company. Axis Smallcap Fund has been issued the highest number of shares within the preferential issue at 34.89 lakh or 1.67% of the comapny's outstanding equity, followed by the HDFC Banking & Financial Services Fund with 34.39 lakh equity shares or 1.65% of the total equity.
Massachusetts Institute of Tech Basic Retirement Plan has also been issued 25.46 lakh shares or 1.22% of the total equity. Prior to the issue, as of September 11, 2026, Axis Small Cap Fund and Massachusetts Institute of Technology did not hold any shares in the firm, while HDFC Banking and Financial Services Fund held 12.10 lakh shares or 0.67% equity, as per the exchange filing.
Ashoka WhiteOak ICAV - Ashoka WhiteOak Emerging Markets Equity Fund, Axis Flexi Cap Fund, Axis Multi Cap Fund, Envision India Fund, Groww Multi Cap Fund, Groww Small Cap Fund, HDFC Innovation Fund, are among the other 34 who will be issued the preferential shares.
OnEMI Technology Solutions' fund raise proposal comes just four months after it listed on the stock exchanges. The ₹926 crore public issue listed at a premium of 11% at ₹190 on the NSE on May 8. The company had raised ₹850 crore through a fresh issue of shares during the IPO as well.
The company told CNBC-TV18 on May 29 that it expects its assets under management to grow by 40% in the current financial year. Its chairman and CEO Ranvir Singh said the firm is confident of its growth, backed by its large existing customer base as well as disciplined underwriting.
Shares of OnEMI Technology Solutions ended the previous session 5.1% higher at ₹360.15 apiece. It has gained 19% in the past month and is up 110.6% from its issue price of ₹171 and is up 89.5% from its listing price of 190.
