NCL Industries reported a 22% year-on-year increase in cement production and dispatches in the second quarter of FY27, according to its latest production and dispatch update. Cement production stood at 7.81 lakh tonnes in the quarter ended September 30, 2026, compared with 6.40 lakh tonnes in the corresponding quarter last year.
Cement dispatches also rose 22% to 7.79 lakh tonnes from 6.40 lakh tonnes a year earlier. The company’s cement boards production increased 22% year-on-year to 13,071 tonnes from 10,673 tonnes. However, cement boards dispatches declined 3% to 13,953 tonnes during the quarter, compared with 14,346 tonnes in Q2 FY26.

Ready-mix concrete production and sales fell 10% year-on-year to 59,882 cubic metres from 66,185 cubic metres in the year-ago period. Hydro power generation also declined sharply, falling 43% to 9.22 million units from 16.14 MU in Q2 FY26. On a half-year basis, cement production rose 16% to 14.74 lakh tonnes, while dispatches increased 15% to 14.60 lakh tonnes.
Cement boards production, however, declined 12% to 24,710 tonnes, even as dispatches rose 6% to 27,076 tonnes. Shares of NCL Industries closed 2.28% lower at ₹160.20 on the NSE on Thursday, amid a broad-based sell-off in the markets.
