KEC International has secured new orders worth ₹1,014 crore in its India transmission and distribution business, the company said on October 10. The orders include the company's first order for setting up a 765 kV transmission line for the evacuation of power from a pumped storage plant in Western India.
The company described itself in the release as a global infrastructure engineering, procurement and construction major and an RPG Group company. In a separate filing to the NSE and BSE, the company's secretary and compliance officer, Suraj Eksambekar, said all the orders mentioned in the press release were received in the normal course of business.
He said it marked an important milestone for the T&D business, as the company supports the growing power infrastructure requirements of the renewables segment. KEC International is a global infrastructure EPC major. It has a presence in the verticals of power transmission and distribution, civil, transportation, renewables, oil and gas pipelines, and cables and conductors.
The company has a footprint in 110+ countries, which includes EPC and the supply of towers and cables. It is the flagship company of the RPG Group.
