The Jio Platforms IPO opened on October 21 and closed on October 23, 2026. The price band was fixed at Rs 1,065 to Rs 1,119 per share, with a minimum lot size of 12 shares. Retail investors applying for one lot at the upper end of the price band needed Rs 13,428. The final issue price was fixed at Rs 1,119 per share.
The basis of allotment for the Jio Platforms IPO will be finalised on October 26, 2026. Investors can check their allotment status through KFin Technologies, the issue registrar, or the official IPO-status facilities of the BSE and NSE.
Applicants will generally need details such as their PAN or application number. Investors who do not receive shares should check the official schedule for the release of their blocked application funds.
The Jio Platforms IPO received bids for all the shares available in the public issue within approximately 100 minutes of opening, according to reports. The qualified institutional buyers (QIB) category was subscribed within the first 10 minutes.
Jio Platforms raised Rs 30,213 crore through its IPO, making it India's largest public issue by value. It surpassed Hyundai Motor India's Rs 27,870-crore IPO, which was launched in 2024. The issue comprises newly issued shares, with no offer-for-sale component. This means the shares are being issued by the company rather than sold by existing shareholders through the IPO.
KFin Technologies is the registrar to the Jio Platforms IPO. Investors can use this portal to check whether shares have been allotted and, where available, the number of shares received.

The allotment for Jio Platforms' IPO is scheduled for Monday, October 26, and the refunds and credit of shares to successful applicants are expected on Tuesday, October 27.
Shares of Jio Platforms are tentatively set to list on the BSE and NSE on Wednesday, October 28. Investors can check their allotment status through the registrar, on BSE, or on NSE, once the results are available.
The grey market premium (GMP) for Jio Platforms’ IPO stands at Rs 247, suggesting an indicative listing price of Rs 1,366 per share. This implies a potential gain of 22.07%, based on the 12-share lot size and upper price band.
However, GMP is unofficial, and can fluctuate sharply and does not guarantee listing gains.
There are three ways to check your allotment status, through the registrar, on BSE, or on NSE.
The registrar, KFin Technologies, runs the main portal. Pick the Jio Platforms issue from the “Select IPO” dropdown. Then enter your PAN (Permanent Account Number), demat account number or application number, type the captcha and press “Submit”.
On the BSE (formerly Bombay Stock Exchange), choose “Equity” under issue type, then select the issue and enter your application number or PAN.
On NSE (National Stock Exchange), register through the “Click here to sign up” link using your PAN. Another route is the bid verification page, where you select “Equity & SME IPO bid details”, choose Jio Platforms and enter your PAN or application number.
The issue is entirely fresh, with 27 crore new equity shares. Most of the proceeds are earmarked for repaying borrowings of Reliance Jio Infocomm. The rest is meant for general corporate purposes.
Before listing, shares trade informally in what is called the grey market. The grey market premium (GMP) is the extra amount buyers are willing to pay over the issue price. Today it stands at Rs 247. Added to the upper price of Rs 1,119, that points to a listing price near Rs 1,366, about 22.07 per cent higher, according to experts.
Over the last 22 sessions, the premium has moved between Rs 148 and Rs 273. The grey market is unofficial and unregulated, so treat these figures as a mood indicator, not a promise.
Large institutions led the charge. The qualified institutional buyer (QIB) portion, which covers big funds and insurers, was subscribed 70.55 times, according to reports published after the issue closed. The non-institutional category was subscribed 14 times. Ordinary retail investors bid for 2.72 times the shares reserved for them, with demand above Rs 25,867 crore, as per stock exchange data.
With so many bidders chasing limited shares, not everyone will get an allotment. Retail applicants, who needed at least Rs 13,428 for one lot of 12 shares at the top price of Rs 1,119, should be prepared for either outcome.
If you miss out, refunds are scheduled to begin on Tuesday, 27 October. Successful applicants should see shares in their demat (dematerialised) accounts the same day.
Trading on the BSE and NSE is expected to begin on Wednesday, 28 October. These dates are tentative, so check the exchange or registrar websites for updates.
The BSE (formerly Bombay Stock Exchange) offers a similar route. Choose “Equity” under issue type, then select the issue and enter your application number or PAN.
The NSE (National Stock Exchange) takes a little more effort. Register through the “Click here to sign up” link using your PAN. Another route is the bid verification page, where you select “Equity & SME IPO bid details”, choose Jio Platforms and enter your PAN or application number.
The Reliance Industries-backed company’s initial public offering (IPO), where a company sells shares to the public for the first time, aimed to raise Rs 30,213 crore. It opened on 21 October and closed on 23 October.
Demand was huge. The issue was subscribed 22.19 times, meaning investors bid for more than 22 times the shares on offer. Counting the anchor investor placement, total demand crossed Rs 7.4 lakh crore, and nearly 1.39 crore applications came in. Excluding anchors, bids in the public issue alone topped Rs 4.9 lakh crore.
Jio Platforms initial public offering (IPO) received tremendous response from investors, attracting bids worth over Rs 7 lakh crore.
The issue was subscribed 22.2 times, with investors bidding for 4.38 billion shares across the three days, driven by qualified institutional buyers (QIB).
The QIB portion was subscribed 70.6 times, with bids for 3.46 billion shares against just 49 million shares on offer. The non-institutional investors (NIIs) portion was subscribed 14 times, with bids for 510.4 million shares against 36.44 million shares on offer and the retail investor portion was subscribed 2.72 times.
