GPT Infraprojects Ltd on Thursday said it has received a ₹483.72 crore contract, including GST, from Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd for construction of a major railway bridge over the Mahanadi River in Odisha. The contract involves construction of Important Bridge 544, a 32x65.84-metre open web steel girder bridge over the Mahanadi River, as part of the construction of the third and fourth railway lines between the Nergundi-Barang section in the Khurda Road Division of East Coast Railway.
The order is valued at ₹409.94 crore excluding GST and is to be executed within 1,095 days from the appointed date. The order has been awarded by the Chief Project Manager, RVNL, Bhubaneswar, and is classified as bridge works for Railways. The order also does not fall under related party transactions.

The company had earlier informed exchanges on September 2 about being the lowest bidder for the contract. Following the latest order, GPT Infraprojects' outstanding order book stands at ₹4,992 crore, while its total order inflow for fiscal 2027 stands at ₹818 crore.
Shares of GPT Infraprojects Ltd ended at ₹113.05, up by ₹2.00, or 1.80%, on the BSE.
