Shares of Tech Mahindra Ltd. are in focus on Thursday, October 1, after the company said it will consider interim dividend and bonus share issue later this month. The company, in an exchange filing on Wednesday, said its board of directors is scheduled to meet on October 15 and October 16 and they will consider and approve: The proposal for declaration of interim dividend for the financial year 2027 Proposal for issue of bonus shares To consider and declare the financial earnings for the second quarter.
The company said the results will be declared on October 15. This will be the first instance since March 2015 that the company will be issuing bonus shares to its shareholders. Back then, the IT services provider had issued one bonus share to its shareholders for every one share that it held.

In addition to the bonus issue, Tech Mahindra had also split one share of the company that carried a face value of ₹10, into two shares which now carry a face value of ₹5 each in March 2015. In 2019, Tech Mahindra had also announced a share buyback worth ₹1,950 crore at a price of ₹950 per share.
The buyback was carried out via the tender offer route. Tech Mahindra has regularly paid dividends to its shareholders. The ₹36 per share it paid to its shareholders in July was the highest on record. Over the last three years, Tech Mahindra has paid dividends worth ₹168 per share to its shareholders, this includes interim dividends of ₹15 each in October 2025 and 2024 each, and final dividends of ₹30 in 2025, ₹28 in 2024 and ₹32 in 2023.

As per the June quarter shareholding pattern, as many as 7.1 lakh small retail shareholders, or those with authorized share capital of up to ₹2 lakh, had a 6.18% stake in the company. Mutual Funds had a 19.14% stake, LIC holds a 11.1% stake, while Foreign Portfolio Investors have a 18.66% stake.
Tech Mahindra shares ended the previous session 1.5% higher at ₹1,533.4 apiece. The stock has declined 6.4% in the past month.
