Blue Dart Express has signed a memorandum of understanding with India Post to expand its delivery network across smaller towns and remote locations in India. The partnership will combine Blue Dart's express logistics capabilities with India Post's extensive postal network to reach more Tier III and Tier IV towns.
Shipments to the additional locations will be delivered through India Post's network, complementing Blue Dart's existing infrastructure. The expanded coverage will be rolled out in phases, the companies said. Harpreet Singh, Member at the Department of Posts, said the department was committed to the partnership and would provide all possible support to strengthen the collaboration.

He also expressed hope that the relationship between the two organisations would expand over time. Balfour Manuel, Managing Director of Blue Dart, said the partnership would help businesses reach more customers in smaller towns and remote areas as the economy grows and customer expectations change.
Dipanjan Banerjee, Chief Commercial Officer of Blue Dart, said the collaboration would help small and medium enterprises , e-commerce sellers and larger businesses access markets beyond established delivery networks. The companies said the partnership would improve delivery access for businesses seeking to serve customers in smaller towns and remote communities.

Shares of Blue Dart Express closed 0.066% higher at ₹4,560 on the NSE on October 9.
