Recent IPO Updates
- Seven companies are set to raise around ₹6,400 crore through IPOs this week, signalling another busy period for India’s primary market. The upcoming issues include Blackstone-backed Horizon Industrial Parks and Lalithaa Jewellery.
- Tempsens Instruments India has fixed its IPO price band at ₹285–₹300 per share. The issue comprises a fresh issue of up to ₹95 crore and an offer for sale of up to 18.5 lakh shares, taking the total issue size to up to ₹650 crore. The IPO will be listed on the BSE and NSE mainboard.
- ABH Healthcare is launching its IPO on the NSE Emerge platform. The company plans to raise approximately ₹34.98 crore through a fresh issue of 34.296 lakh shares. The price band is ₹96–₹102 per share, with the IPO scheduled to open on August 24 and close on August 26, 2026.
- Market reports project Anthropic's future stock valuation upon its potential IPO could hinge on achieving its aggressive $200 billion annual revenue forecast targeted for 2028.
P.E. & Funding Updates
- India’s space startup ecosystem is expanding rapidly, with around 440 space startups registered and private investment reaching $618.5 million by March 2026, nearly six times the 2021–22 level. Around 18 authorised startups are preparing for satellite or launch activities.
- Lucknow-based defence startup Kawa UAV has successfully tested the Divyastra Mk3, described as India’s first fully indigenous jet-powered loitering munition. The platform uses an Indian-made jet engine and completed its maiden flight on August 11, highlighting growing domestic capabilities in defence aerospace and propulsion.

- Indian Bank plans to raise $400 million through External Commercial Borrowings (ECBs) this week to support business growth. The bank is also considering an additional $600 million borrowing later.
- India is expected to see a $40–100 billion balance of payments surplus in FY27, supported by stronger foreign capital inflows and RBI measures to attract overseas funds. However, a wider trade deficit and higher oil prices remain key risks.
