Recent IPO Updates

  • Microfinance leader Arohan Financial is set to file its DRHP to raise ₹1,800 crore. The capital will drive expansion into rural markets as analysts predict a surge in Q2 IPO activity.

P.E. & Funding Updates

  • India recognized over 55,000 new startups in FY26, marking the highest annual growth since the 2016 launch. This milestone brings the national total to over 1.6 lakh registered ventures.
  • Rajasthan-based Polaris Smart Metering raised ₹710 crore ($80 million) from the UK’s British International Investment (BII). The capital will fund the deployment of 2.2 million smart meters in West Bengal.

Business & Economic Updates

  • The Union Cabinet approved the Bharat Maritime Insurance Pool with a sovereign guarantee of ₹12,980 crore. This domestic pool aims to provide affordable war-risk cover amidst rising global shipping tensions.
