Equity mutual funds have offered nearly 9% gain in October led by strong performances from sectoral and thematic funds that topped the return charts. There were 578 equity mutual funds in the said time period, of which 568 funds gave positive returns and 10 gave negative returns in October.
Motilal Oswal Nasdaq 100 FOF, the topper in the list and an international fund, offered a return of 9.02% in October.
WOC Digital Bharat Fund and HDFC Technology Fund posted returns of around 7.58% and 7.05% respectively in the same time period.
Motilal Oswal Business Cycle Fund, a sectoral or thematic fund, delivered a return of around 6.97% in the said time period.
SBI Technology Opp Fund, a tech sector based fund, offered a return of around 6.79% in the said time period.
Two funds from Mirae Asset Mutual Fund - Mirae Asset Global Electric & Autonomous Vehicles Equity Passive FOF and Mirae Asset Global X Artificial Intelligence & Technology ETF FoF - gave 6.71% and 6.68% returns respectively in the mentioned period.
We considered all equity mutual funds including sectoral and thematic mutual funds. We considered regular and growth oriented funds. We calculated the performance of these funds in the month of October.
